Responsible for the supervision of all non-residential direct service programs conducted by the staff. Provides leadership and direction to Program Directors and coordinates their activities. Responsible for effectiveness of the therapeutic and internal services offered. Oversees Government and United Way grant writing. Serve as back up for Executive Director in media and public speaking opportunities. Reports to the Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and direct all non-residential program operations in Outreach Counseling, Program Evaluation, Batterer’s Intervention and Prevention Program, Incest Recovery, Legal Services, Be Project and FLP Family Center with responsibility for effectiveness of therapeutic and internal services. Integrate activities of individual programs throughout agency.
- Work with Executive Program Director – Residential Services to ensure quality and coordinated programs.
- Hire and train Program Directors; monitor their progress and achieving program goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to Program Directors.
- Arrange and/or conduct periodic staff training or support activities.
- Review case records, case management, referral resources, and perform other evaluative functions to determine program consistency and effectiveness, and compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Identify need for additional or reduced programming.
- Recommend changes in programs offered and/or services delivered, based on client needs and available funding; assists in development and implementation of new or revised programs.
- Provide community education, with emphasis on professionals, and assist in fundraising presentations and projects.
- Assist in development of agency policies and procedures.
- Establishes and maintains liaison and referral relationships with community agencies and organizations.
- Assists in preparation of fundraising proposals, writing government and United Way grants and contracts as assigned.
- Serve as a back up to Executive Director for public relations, media interviews, presentations to donors, legislative advocacy, etc.
- Serve as alternate custodian of records for agency
- Serve as member of senior management team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree or the equivalent in Counseling, Public Administration, or related field. Three years experience in agency of program administration and development; understanding of dynamics of family violence.
