28th Annual Texas Association Against Sexual Assault Conference
Leading the Change: Advocacy in Action
Feb. 28 - March 4, 2010

Isla Grand Beach Resort
South Padre Island, Texas

As we focus on "Leading the Change: Advocacy in Action," this year’s conference will examine our complementary roles as social change agents and victim advocates with an extensive selection of primary prevention workshops that will continue to build the connection between sexual violence and other social justice issues. At the same time, we will also provide diversity, volunteer management and leadership classes for advocates in addition to training for criminal justice staff, sexual assault nurse examiners and clinical providers.

* Organizational advocates can register an unlimited number of attendees at the reduced rate. Organizational affiliates may only register one attendee.

Scholarships
In order to honor the spirit of grassroots advocacy and highlight the efforts of those working with and for underserved populations, the Diversity Task Force will offer financial assistance for the 2010 TAASA Conference in the form of several scholarships.

In line with our mission, scholarships are open to anyone who demonstrates dedication to and promotes social justice within diverse populations. Apply online or contact Rose Luna at rluna@taasa.org or 512-474-7190 x13 for a paper application.

Registration Deadlines
The last day advance registrations will be accepted with payment in full is Feb. 15, 2010. After that date, please register at the conference.

Cancellation Policies
To receive a refund, written withdrawals must be postmarked no later than Feb. 15, 2010. No refunds will be made after that date. All refunds are subject to a $40 administrative fee and will be mailed out after the close of the conference.

Exhibitors
Vendors may purchase one or two tables to display goods or services. Applications will be accepted and space assigned on a first come, first served basis until space is no longer available. The TAASA event coordinator will notify each exhibitor in writing when their table registration is complete. A full table may be purchased for $100 for the duration of the conference.

Any nonprofit that would to make one or two printed pieces available at a general information table may do so at no charge by contacting Cecilia Perkins immediately at 512-474-7190 x24 or cperkins@taasa.org for instructions on where to send materials.
