The TAASA Board of Directors is seeking currently accepting nominations for board membership. We are seeking individuals who:

• enjoy conceptual argument, differing points of view, and values clarification
• understand that they represent the many individual and organizational members of TAASA who have many legitimate points of view
• will actively seek to access and understand the membership and honor the diversity that the membership represents
• welcome dissent but be able to honor group decisions once they are made

The Board of Directors has adopted the policy governance model. Under this model the board governs through policies that establish organizational aims (ends), governance approach, and management limitations and defines the board/Executive Director relationship. The Executive Director has broad freedom to determine the means that will be used to achieve organizational aims.

Once elected to a position on the Board of Directors, you will receive further information regarding governance policy that will help prepare you for service. If you are interested in joining the leadership of TAASA, complete the include board application.

The following positions will be elected this fall for a 2-year term:

• Secretary
• Region B Representative
• Region C Representative
• Region F Representative
• At Large (2 positions open)
• Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Representative
