Members

Becoming a member of TAASA signifies joining the movement to end sexual violence in Texas. Our members include rape crisis centers, other organizations working with sexual violence-related issues, plus individuals and organizations who support our mission but don’t work directly in the field.

TAASA relies heavily on public grant funds. But these funds are narrowly restricted as to their use and cannot be used for a myriad of other activities, including legislative advocacy – an important purpose if we truly hope to make Texas safer. We rely on member support (in the form of membership dues and donations) to continue doing this valuable work all over Texas.

Members receive:

  • The Revolution, our quarterly newsletter
  • Free TAASA brochures, manuals and fact sheets, plus free shipping
  • Email updates on current legislation and other issues affecting sexual assault survivors
  • Input into statewide decision-making through regional meetings and annual membership meetings
  • Reduced registration fees for regional and statewide TAASA conferences
  • Eligibility to serve on the TAASA Board of Directors
