The Texas Attorney General operates a Crime Victims’ Compensation (CVC) Program, 800-983-9933. Victims of violent crime may be eligible for financial benefits.

The Texas Crime Victims’ Rights may not cover all the rights to which a crime victim is entitled. Contact the Texas Crime Victim Clearinghouse (TxCVC) at 800-848-4284, or visit the TxCVC Resource Directory for referrals to crime victim resources across the state.

The Texas Advocacy Project operates a sexual assault legal hotline, 888-296-SAFE, staffed by attorneys who answer legal questions.

Texas Legal Services Center provides a legal line (M-F, 8am to 5pm) providing free and confidential advice and representation to sexual assault survivors.  Call them at 1-888-343-4414.
